He just comes from a pretty evidence based perspective and said that Goldstein's latter day views generally aren't accepted as being such, despite having had a very respected earlier...

What seems to "cure" me is a drug called Cyproheptadine (Periactin), which is a known serotonin antagonist. But the weird component is this. When I take 1mg of this drug, I will be sleepy (normal response) and wake up feeling tired. The following day I feel the same. BUT it's day 3 and 4...

What effect do you suppose berberine would have? “The anxiolytic mechanism of BER might be related to the increase in turnover rates of monoamines in the brain stem and decreased serotonergic system activity. Moreover, BER decreased serotonergic system activity via activation of somatodendritic...

Regarding dosage: it may not be limited to a low dosage, but standardized extract may work better over time (what I had tried first). Adverse reactions may come from immediate effect compared to waiting a bit. Or purity may make extract better. (Powder still works and is how it's mostly sold and...

Pssd could be caused by inhibition of dopamine, and or lack of dopamine. Many with PSSD suffer from anhedonia (Anhedonia and sexual anhedonia). If you lower dopamine you will get anhedonia and could also suffer derealization/depersonalization symptoms and other dysphoric feelings. From wikipedia...

Increased levels of allopregnanolone can produce paradoxical effects, including negative mood, anxiety, irritability, and aggression. This appears to be because allopregnanolone possesses biphasic, U-shaped actions at the GABAA receptor – moderate level increases (in the range of 1.5–2 nM/L total...

Especially since: presynaptic 5ht1a = increase rem sleep postsynaptic 5ht1a = block rem sleep. I read your article and associated it with: tonic dopamine activation: creepy...

Ketamine also made symptoms better in days after dosing. But like shrooms, it didn't last. The thing about PSSD is, some people actually get permanently cured, it's not unheard of, but for how long have they been suffering from PSSD in the first place? I think the longer you suffer from PSSD, the...
