Loss of Appetite?

Unread postby WeWillOvercome » Thu Dec 28, 2017 7:12 pm

Anyone else lose their appetite for food (in addition to sex, sigh) during or after SSRI’s? A few months after I ceased Fluoxetine it occurred to me that I could go all day without eating or with eating very little and not feel famished.

In the last month or two (about ten months after ceasing SSRI’s) my hunger for food has gradually returned. While I certainly would prefer for a hunger of a different type to return, I suppose I have to cherish every victory I can get with this shit.
Fluoxetine (Prozac) from August '16 to February '17. No sex drive, severe erectile dysfunction, pronounced anhedonia.

Side-effect of high serotonin levels is no appetite. You probably have low reuptake and excess serotonin release, like many of us here.

Same here. I can easily go the whole day without eating and i won't feel hunger. I might feel weak and light headed from not eating, but i dont feel hungry.

Yeah...somehow you got to force yourself to eat, if you need, take an anti-nausea agent like Ginger or Tropisetron (pharma) and eat anything for Protein, at least!
