Risperidone

Unread postby Dark0047 » Thu Dec 28, 2017 12:33 pm

So, I was hospitalized in September after 3 months of dealing with PSSD. I was given Risperidone 2 mg. I took it for 14 days. My prolactin and testosterone returned to normal but I wonder if it has had long-lasting effect on my brain and has worsened my condition?

If Prolactin and Testosterone "returned to normal" then after 14-days I doubt any serious damage was done. Risperidone was actually developed based on Ritanserin; a known serotonin antagonist [1]. Thus, at least on the serotonergic end, it may actually have a beneficial rebound effect in some peoples.
