Hi,

Intro notes

Currently on Zoloft (12,5 mg), formerly on Paxil (5-10mg) to treat anxiety. Normally 1-2 year on SSRI and then stop, return months later if anxiety returns.

Non other health issues!
Normal blood (include testosterone and other hormones) values.
No alcohol, no smoke.

Sexual symptoms on SSRI

- Fade of some sensations
- Time (and focus) to get a full erection
- Problems to keep erection (constant stimulation needed)
- Delayed orgasm (really need time and sometimes hard stimulation)

(there are days and days, that bad effects fades with lower SSRI dosing)

Sexual symptoms without SSRI

- Sometimes takes time to get a full erection
- Some problems to keep erection

Can feel sensations and get orgasm fast as need :)

(again there days and days)

Experiments

Ginger
It doesn't work.

Panax Ginseng
It doesn't work.

L-Arginine
It doesn't work.

Centrum (vitamins and minerals)
It doesn't work.

Ginkgo Biloba
Really help in sensations and orgasm but fades with time.

Buspar (buspirone)
Really help in sensations and orgasm but fades with time.

Beetroot (source of Nitrates -> NO)
It seems to help with erections sometimes.. but theres days and days. I was in doubt.

Eggs, 1 raw yolk with sugar (source of Choline -> Acetylcholine)
Really help in sensations, erections and orgasm. It seem the best solution so far.
Also, now I’m thinking / discovering that the days where things work great is the days that I eat eggs.

Hey, Tony!

Are you on medicine currently because you can't function as well when you're off of them? Do you maintain sexual dysfunction while you're off of them, or is it moreso lessened?

And about the eggs: why do you add sugar to it? Do you just mix it all up in a bowl and throw it down?

Currently tapering off Zoloft (6.125mg - 12.5mg), now 3 days without it, no problems yet :) but if I feel any withdrawal symptom I will take a low dose or/and anxiolytic.

When I’m off SSRI, sexual dysfunction effects are really lessened, especially feelings and orgasms (normal, no delayed) but other things like some arousal and keeping erection (without stimulation) are not the same like before taking the first SSRI. There are days and days but libido and ejeculation come to normal after off SSRI.

Egg yolk with sugar is fast to make and delicious :)

I see! Best of luck with tapering.

Thank you for the tip :) I'll try it!

Few days off Zoloft, no headaches, no major anxiety, no GI problems, ...

No ejaculation / orgasm problems, but last night I had some troubles to get a hard erection (and keep it without stimulation). Tonight, by chance, eated an egg in dinner and had a better sex.

Other observations
(there are days and days)

More sleep (9h - 10h) -> Soft erections
Less sleep (5h - 6h) -> Hard erections

1 day (or hours) without sex -> More hard erections
1 week without sex -> Really more desire, fast (and big) orgasm but more soft erections
