If I have PSSD and have children after it...

Unread postby raskolnikov » Thu Nov 29, 2018 8:09 am

...Could them inherit it?

I mean: some people say that PSSD is an epigenetic alteration caused by SSRI. So, could this epigenetic change be passed to my son, even if he never touches a SSRI (what I'm asking is: is it possible that he will be born with PSSD?)?

Has anyone with PSSD (in this forum, or someone that you know) had children after having the condition? Did those children develop some of PSSD sympthoms naturally?

Those sayings about inheriting PSSD were based on that experiment with rats. To be honest there is no data to answer yes or no. Maybe we can only assume that there is higher probability that it's not inheritable.

It is really important for me to know it. I wont have children if they have chance to be born with PSSD.
