Ive been noticing i have hot flashes in the evening. Not in the sense that i am severely sweating, but an uncomfortable feeling that i need to put off my office short and sometimes get on some shorts.
Anything else has this?
Im pretty sure it is not due to any medication, since i dont take any atm...

What supplements are you taking?

Hot flashes almost always indicate something hormonally going on.

This may or may not be completely relevant to this thread but I think it's interesting - will duplicate in the estradiol thread.

A few years back I went through a time (maybe a year or so) of having hot flushes. At the time I joked that it was like I was going through the menopause.

A couple of days ago I was speaking to someone about the menopause and it struck me how much the symptoms are like my pssd symptoms - low sex drive/enjoyment, poor memory, constantly tired and others.

It basically feels like I've gone through the early menopause, apart from the fact that I still have periods. This makes me really keen to try the hormone route. I want to try estraidol and I've been looking at buying HRT online.

I know there are risks and it's not recommended to take them long term but I'm now at the point where I don't care - I just want a better quality of life for now and if that means my life may be shortened I may have to deal with that. I'm just not sure what effect taking these while I'm pre-menopausal will be. One concern is fertility.

Hrt comes in just estrogen or estrogen plus a range of other hormones - does anyone have any input about which of these may be best to try?

Yeah that would be my guess too. Im taking ginko (low dose), but i doubt that's causing it as it is also used to treat hot flashes...
I need to get an extensive blood test soon...
